Q: Who is GeeeWhiz?
A: We are a group of current and ex Ebay sellers who fed up with Ebay's new feedback policy, and decided to create this website for the sellers still selling on eBay.
Q: Can buyers use this site?
A: Absolutely not. If any buyer posts any messages on this site, his/her id will be added to the black list! This site is for sellers only!
Q: Is this site free and do I need to register to use this site?
A: It's totally free, open to any sellers, and no registration required. Why? Because anyone can register with anything they want. Unless someone send you a copy of their social security card, even with that doesn't guarantee anything. We believe on-site registration is totally useless and meaningless, unless it's a fee based site, then you can at least use the credit card or bank information as some kind of verification system.
Q: Is this an anti-eBay site?
A: Absolutely not, this site helps sellers to run their business more efficiently on eBay, create more sales on eBay, which pays more fees to eBay, so eBay is actually the ultimate beneficiary.
Q: Is this site difficult to use?
A: No at all, everything is very self explanatory. The pages are logically designed for simplicity and ease of use. When you need to know something, you need to know it now, time is wasted to go through many pages to get to what you need.
Q: Does GeeeWhiz keep my private info?
A: No, we don't require you to register, we don't ask you for your email address or phone number, and we don't collect your selling preferences, your eBay Id/password or any other information. We just want your honest feedbacks. We respect your privacy, and we don't keep anyone's private info for any other commercial purposes.
Q: Why doesn't GeeeWhiz disclose seller's ID in the Black List section?
A: To prevent any retaliatory false biddings, and harassment from the listed buyers on eBay. With the current eBay feedback policy, black listed buyers will have absolutely no recourse if they decided to go after the sellers. That's why we don't list Item #s in the black list section, it's a protection for the sellers.
Q: Does GeeeWhiz use eBay's system for GeeeWhiz's database?
A: No, unlike other sites we don't use eBay's API on our website. So, if eBay decides to shut it down this function, it won't affect us at all. All of our feedbacks are directly from our users. Out of eBay's control that's how we like it
Q: How do I know the information I get on your site is accurate?
A: We have our confidence in the sellers, just like eBay has their confidence in the buyers. Our information is based on the feedbacks we received from the users. Even though we don't check each feedback as it comes in, but the sellers can report to us if there is anything false on this site, then we will verify it and change it.
Q: If someone list me on your site, how can I remove it?
A: Listed buyer needs to email us all the records to show the feedback from the seller is false, then we will remove your id from our site. We will also remove your ID once we receive the request from the original posting seller. Anyone who uses our site to post retaliatory feedbacks or retaliatory black list against the seller without contacting us first will be add to our online black list. If you are a seller, please contact us. We will do our best to make the correction.
Q: How does GeeeWhiz make a profit?
A: We don't charge our users, so we are not making any direct profit from our users with our free service.
Q: How long has GeeeWhiz been around?
A: GeeeWhiz was launched on 6/10/2008.
Q: How often does Geeewhiz update it's site?
A:We update our database almost every other day, and of course we make site improvements whenever is needed, and users are welcome to send us suggestions.
